Round Table: “One-minute story – Photography as protection in post-earthquake territories”

An event to discuss the role of photography and – more generally – visual arts in the Italian territories hit by earthquakes in the last ten years.

Photography as protection in Post Earthquake Territories” was conceived as an opportunity to discuss the exhibition “One-minute story” at the Italian Pavilion at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale. The aim is to discuss together the need to return to observe the places we live in, through the medium of photography, as research and analysis of landscapes from a physical and social point of view. The event will provide the opportunity to discuss these themes, analysing projects by Göran Gnaudschun, Alessandro Imbriaco and Antonio Ottomanelli on display at the Pavilion, developed thanks to the contribution of the inhabitants and the associations of the different territories. The film La prima casa in cui il cavallo andrà sarà nel vuoto (2021), directed by Ottomanelli, will be screened at the end.
